#InfluenceConf 2014 (meet + greet)

I am SO looking forward to meeting and connecting with all of you this year. Even more than that, though, I’m excited to meet with the Lord and hear from Him at Influence 2014.

I had an amazing time at last year’s conference. Part of that was (obvi!) due to being there with my sister, who lives long-distance...but the rest was due to the fact that God truly works through the women who put on this conference. I actually almost flubbed it up this year, as I waited too long to buy my ticket. But thanks to someone who couldn’t attend, I was able to transfer her ticket last-minute.

I live here locally, about 45 minutes south of Indy. I am married to my best blessing, Michael, who is a 4th/5th grade teacher (and if your kids are that age and need any math help, check out his YouTube channel: Mr. Pratt's Math Class). The Lord has yet to bring children into our lives, but we are passionate about growing our family in the near-future both naturally and through adoption. By day, I work with youth and families in the community mental health setting. By night (wait, that sounds weird!), I lead the youth and worship ministries at my local church and speak/write on the side. I have a BA in Youth Ministry and am almost finished with an MDiv from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Hallelujah, it's been a long ride (circa 2005)! Lord, willing, I will be finished this May and will be a certified biblical counselor through the ACBC. Growing girls in God's grace is my passion…so we'll see where the Lord leads!
Hearing from the God’s Word and His people about how to best influence those around me for His glory.
How many things? Surely not just one!
Okay, if I have to narrow it down - I’d say my journal. I’m an extreme journal-holic (not in the everyday, “dear diary” kind of way...but in the “I have more than I could ever use!” kind of way) At any rate, I’ll be filling it up with tips and insights at the conference.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I can't wait to meet y'all face-to-face!
